Founder, Sotaro Yano, grew up in a family producing Japanese green tea in Uji-Tawara. He saw opportunities in exporting Japanese tea products to the United stated, and started trading tea. This was the beginning of Yanoen.
Second leader, Yoshizo, made efforts to produce high quality green tea, and promoted his products to retailers in Japan.
His tea products were well recognized, and received many awards.
Third leader, Sotaro, established Yanoen Ltd in 1949, and he became CEO of the company.
He employs the latest management techniques, and has improved business operations while working hard on quality of products.
He has made a significant contribution to Japanese tea industry, and the products are awarded every time in All Japan Tea exhibition.
